Već neko vreme se u određenim DM drogerijama kod nas u ponudi nalazi i DMova robna marka Trend It Up. Prijatno sam se iznenadila kada sam videla da u ponudi imaju široku ponudu preparata i lakova za nokte, a još više sam se iznenadila da imaju i holo lakove u sklopu Prisma Tip kolekcije. Od zimus dostupni po ceni od 320 dinara, sada se mogu naći u korpicama na sniženju za svega 199 dinara.

For some time now we have Trend It Up brand in some of DM drugstores in Serbia. I have to say that I have been very pleasantly surprised by their range of nail care and colour products, and even more so when I learned they have holo polishes in their Prisma Tip collection.

Essie Tribal Text-Styles

Verovatno ste primetile u proteklih godinu dana da je Essie ponuda u Srbiji sve siromašnija i da se nove kolekcije ne uvoze. Essie stalci po drogerijama stoje poluprazni, sa lakovima sumnjivog stanja koji izgledaju kao da im treba dobro brisanje prašine i spolja i iznutra. Tužan prizor. Svako zamiranje brenda kod nas me malo rastuži, mada za Essie mi nije preterano žao jer su im kolekcije vazda sigurne i dosadne - malo nude, malo roze, nešto crveno i jedna boja koja odskače od ostatka. Verujem da to može biti jedan razlog za smanjenj interesovanja kupaca za ove lakove. Drugi je sasvim sigurno cena. Puna cena je povremeno povećavana, ali lakovi su skoro stalno bili na sniženju, što je dobar pokazatelj stepena prodaje - jednostavno nisu išli po novoj punoj ceni.

Essie nail polish range available in Serbia has been diminishing consistently for a year or two now and we haven't been getting new collections. Essie stands are half-empty, with suspiciously-looking polishes that look like they need a good dusting both on the outside and on the inside. A sad sight indeed. Every time I see a brand fail in certain market I get a bit sad, although I am not too sad about Essie because I find their collections safe and boring - some nudes, some pinks, some reds and one colour that does not match the rest of them. I believe that to be one of the reasons buyers aren't as interested in these polishes. The other one is definitely price. When they first introduced drugstore range of Essie, they were about half the price they are now, but nowadays they are on sale quite often, showing that they weren't selling at full price.

A England Briarwood

A England nije među mojim omiljenim boutique brendovima, jer mislim da se drže veoma sigurnih boja i suptilnih efekata, sa ponekim časnim izuzetkom. To znači da povremeno pokleknem i uzmem neki od njih, a ponekada mi je veoma teško da odolim samoj temi koju Adina odabere bez obzira na boje u toj kolekciji. Ona inspiraciju vuče iz raznih oblasti umetnosti (književnost, slikarstvo, ples), ali i iz istorije. Burne-Jones Dream, kolekcija iz koje je ovaj lak, inspirisana je serijom slika Legenda o Trnovoj Ružici, a ovaj lak je inspirisan slikom koja prikazuje usnule vojnike prekrivene ružinim trnovitim granama.

A England is not among my favourite boutique brands because I find their colours and effects too safe and subtle for me, with several honourable exceptions. That means that sometimes even I succumb and get a polish or two, although sometimes I find it difficult to resist the theme, despite colours in that collection. Adina draws inspiration from various lines of art (literature, painting, dance), but history as well. Burne-Jones Dream, collection this polish comes from, is inspired by Edward Burne-Jones' series of paintings The Legend of Briar Rose, with this polish representing the image of sleeping soldiers covered by briar rose thorns.
