Za australijski boutique brend piCture pOlish znam otkad sam počela da pratim lakoholičarske blogove, ali Mallard je prvi njihov lak koji sam morala da imam (i uspela da ga nabavim zahvaljuući ShineEye). PiCture pOlish je proizvođač koji s vremena na vreme u saradnji sa poznatim/popularnim/kvalitetnim noktoblogerkama pravi posebne nijanse lakova, a Mallard su napravili u saradnji sa Džen - The PolishAholic. I'd learned about Australian boutique brand piCture pOlish when I first started to read nail polish blogs, but Mallard was the first of their polishes that I simply had to have (and managed to get it thanks to ShineEye). PiCture pOlish is a brand that makes collaboration shades with well known/successful/high quality bloggers from time to time and Mallard is product of such collaboration with Jen - The PolishAholic. All piCture pOlish polishes come in 11 ml bottles and have great thin flat brush. You can order these polishes from many e-tailers that carry indie and boutique nail polish brands.

Mallard je divlja patka čiji mužjaci na glavi imaju karakteristično perje metalik zelenog odsjaja. Mislim da je jasna veza između boje i imena ovog laka. Tano zelena baza ispunjena je zlatastim šimerom i duohromatskim ljuspicama koje se prelivaju na zelenu i žutu. Potreban je sloj nadlaka da bi se površina uglačala i da bi ovaj lak mogao da se pokaže u punom sjaju. Lak je dobro pigmentisan i lepo se nanosi. Dva sloja su dovoljna za punu pokrivenost, ali na nekoliko mesta mi je drugi sloj povlačio boju ispod. Brzina sušenja me je prijatno iznenadila. Zbog jedinstvenosti ove boje mislim da ću ga prištedeti i ubuduće da ću ga mazati u jednom sloju preko nekog drugog tamno zelenog laka. Slike su snimljene na dnevnom svetlu. Imam dva sloja laka i nemam nadlak.

Mallard is wild duck whose drake has recognisable metallic green head feathers. I believe the connection between the colour and name of this polish is quite clear. Dark green base is filled with gold shimmer and duochrome flakies that shift from green to yellow. It takes a layer of top coat to even out the surface and let the polish show itself in its full beauty. Polish is well pigmented and goes on smoothly. It takes two coats for full coverage and opacity, but the second coat did pull some colour from the first coat. I was pleasantly surprised by drying time. Since this is such a unique shade I think I will save it and use it over some other dark green polish. Photos were taken in daylight. I have two coats of polish and no top coat.
