Hajde da iskoristim ovo lepo sunčano vreme da nosim i uslikam neki holić. Nov holić. I taman da testiram novu bazu. I da teram inat jesenjim/Haloween manikirima. Multitasking.
After a week of true autumnal weather, we got several days of sun. Why not take that opportunity to wear and photograph a holo polish. A new holo polish. And give a new base coat a try. And to go against all the autumnal/Halloween manis. Multitasking. 😎 This is one of the polishes I bouth a month ago from Lakodom, which is now only working as a preorders site, so subscribe to their newsletter to be informed of upcoming preorders.
Wild Avocado is this year's addition to Colores de Carol permanent line. It is described as an olive green linear holo polish, so I am not clear why it is called Wild Avocado, but that doesn't matter because the description is rather fitting. Indoors it looks swampy, and for my purposes it is a good thing. In sunlight it is definitely olive green. Unfortunately, despite it having a rather strong holo effect, my camera just couldn't capture the rainbow, but it had no trouble with the metallic base that is hiding underneath. Even though the polish is quite pigmented, the colour does not mask the holo rainbow, although the blue end of the spectrum is less visible. Like in the previous CdC polish, I don't like the brush. It is too wide for precise application, but with my new base coat and a lot of pationce I managed to get decent look (if we disregard that I couldn't get closer to my eponychium). It takes two coats for full colour and even coverage.
I like it :-D
ReplyDeleteHaha a sunny day in Scotland is a holoday - as I call it! ;-D
I hope we aren't done with them for the year. :D
