Born Pretty 09 i BP-09

Before new Born Pretty Store stamping plates arrive I want to show you those that I've had for months and that I still haven't either used or reviewed. Foremost this pair of image plates from the first BPS collection - the original Born Pretty Store 09 and its improved counterpart BP-09.

Sve glavne sličnosti i razlike koje su postojale među parovima pločica pod brojevima 05 i 02 važe i ovde - stara pločica ima crnu kartonsku pozadinu i spreda urezanu oznaku Born Pretty 09, a nova plastificiranu belu pozadinu sa ispisanim imenom i adresom sajta, a spreda urezanu oznaku BP-09 pločice. Razlike su najupadljivije među samim motivima. Dok stara verzija deluje kao loše osmišljena papazjanija, nova pločica predstavlja manje ili više koherentnu celinu koja ima tek neke zajedničke detalje sa prethodnikom. All main similarities and differences between these two plates are the same as with pairs of plates under numbers 05 and 02 - older one has black backing and Born Pretty 09 etched on the front, and the newer one has BPS name and web address printed on the white backing and BP-09 etched on the front. The differences are more visible among designs themselves. While the older version looks like unfinished hodge podge, the new one looks like a meaningful whole that has only several points in common with the former. Image size is not one of them - four main designs on BP-09 are 15x20 mm compared to 13x13 or 16x10 mm Born Pretty 09.

Motivi su relativno dobro uklopljeni na novoj pločici. Sve velike slike su cvetasto-zvezdasto-pahuljaste, kao i dve bordure i dva od četiri mala motiva. Obe bordure, kao i gornji i levi veliki motiv se u dužoj, odnosno kraćoj verziji nalaze i na staroj pločici. S druge strane, veliki motiv u vrhu nove pločice i fleur de lis krst pored njega su i sami uvećani u odnosu na stariju verziju. Dva motiva koja su meni najzanimljivija na Born Pretty 09 nažalost nisu zavšila na BP-09 - rozeta od srca i pahuljasto-cvetna šara ispod naziva pločice. Na BP-09 se nisu našli još ni tigrasti i srcasti kvadratni motivi, kao ni talasi. Od motiva koji se nalaze na BP-09, ali ne i na Born Pretty 09 imamo par malih ljubavnih motiva, nepravilnu zvezdu i veliku sliku sa zvezdama. Slike se na obe pločice dobro prenose, ali bih predložila da pločice obrišete acetonom posle svakog transfera. Jedino za bordure treba paziti na smer grebanja kako ne bi višak laka završio na okolnim slikama i tako vas sprečio da preuzmete upravo onaj dezen koji ste želeli.

Designs are relatively well combined in this new plate. All full-nail images are snowflaky-starry-floral, as are two ribbons as well as two of four smaller motifs. Both ribbons and two of four full nail designs are also on the older plate, only in longer or shorter version. On the other hand, the large design at the top of new image plate and fleur de lis cross next to it are enlarged compared to the older version. Two designs that I found most interesting on Born Pretty 09 - hearts rosette and snowflakey-floral image beneath the name of the plate - didn't end up on BP-09 and neither did tiger pattern, square with hearts nor wave pattern. Designs you can find on BP-09, but not on Born Pretty 09 are a couple of small love-themed images, irregular star and large starry motif. All designs transfer well, but I'd suggest you wipe stamping plates with acetone after each transfer. You only have to take special care when scraping polish of ribbons so as not to get any excess on nearby designs. Otherwise you won't get that clean image you wanted.
