Essie Maximillian Strasse Her

Osim crvenih, roze i nude lakova, koji verovatno čine 90% boja u Essie postavci, Essie veoma često pravi i zasivljene plave i zelene lakove, koji se, kada se smene kolekcije, obično mesecima povlače po policama i činijama sa robom na rasprodaji. Ponekada čak po zaista neverovatnim cenama, na koje ja retko naletim, ali imam dobre drugarice lakoholičarke koje uredno javljaju kada nalete na neku takvu ponudu. Tako je i ovaj lak došao do mene, za "ogromnih" 209 dinara.

Essie is know by red, pink and nude polishes, which probably make 90% of their entire production, but they also make greyed-out green and blue polishes quite often. Those polishes end up in discount bins and usually remain there for months, ending up with a ridiculously low price tag. Now, I seldom run into Essies at that low a price, but fortunately I have very good polishaholic friends who tend to tip me off about them, which is how I came to own this one for less than €2.

Butter London Poole - Essie Maximillian Strasse Her - OPI Thanks a Windmillion

Essie Maximillian Strasse Her je bio deo Madison Ave-Hue kolekcije (ko smišlja ove glupe nazive?) za proleće 2013. godine. U bočici deluje kao siva krema zelenog tona, a takav je i u senci, dok se na suncu zeleni ton uopšte ne vidi. U poređenju sa drugim sličnim lkaovima koje imam, ovaj lak je sivlji i tamniji od Butter London Poole, a OPI Thanks a Windmillion je znatno tamniji i zeleniji. Formula je ono što kod ovog laka razočarava. Redak je i tečan i nanosi se neujednačeno. Tek se sa tri sloja može dobiti ravnomerna boja i pokrivenost. Suši se brzo.

Essie Maximillian Strasse Her was part of Madison Ave-Hue collection (who comes up with these stupid names?) for spring 2013. In bottle it looks like green-toned grey creme, and that is what it looks like in the shade, but the green tone gets lost in sunlight. Compared to similar polishes I have, this polish is more grey and it is darker than Butter London Poole (which looks almost drab next to Maximillian Strasse Her), and OPI Thanks a Windmillion is comparably darker and more green. Formula is where this polish had let me down. It is thin, runny and goes on patchy. You need three coats to get full opacity and even coverage. It dries fast, though.
