OPI Color Paints

Letos nam je uz jesenju OPI kolekciju stigla i kolekcija lakova za nail art. Pod imenom Color Paints krije se osam prozračnih lakova u boji i srebrna podloga, od kojih se svaki pojedinačno može kupiti u bočici od 15 ml po standardnoj ceni OPI laka. Takođe postoji i mini set, u kome se nalazi pet boja i srebrni lak (6 x 3,5 ml) po ceni od 2340 dinara. U Prima apoteci na Terazijama sam videla i da se neki od ovih mini lakova mogu naći i van seta, po ceni od oko 250 dinara.

This summer alongside autumnal OPI collection we also got a collection of blendable polishes for nail art. Color Paints collection consists of eight sheer polishes and silver base. They can be bought individually or as a set of silver polish and five colours in mini bottles.

Silver Canvas je srebrni lak koji može poslužiti kao podloga za Color Paints boje. Pigmentacija mu je odlična i puna pokrivenost se postiže već sa jednim slojem. Drugi sloj zapravo može smetati jer sam primetila da pvlači prethodno nanesenu boju. Ako se Color Paints boje koriste preko Silver Canvas, i same će imati metalik odsjaj.

MoYou Nails 405

Silver Canvas is a polish that can be used as foundation for Color Paints polishes. It has great pigmentation and gives full coverage in a single coat. Second coat might even be an issue because I've noticed that it drags previous layer. If you use Colour Paints over Silver Canvas, they will also have metallic shine.

Od boja u ovom setu se nalaze Primarily Yellow (žuta), Chromatic Orange (narandžasta), Pen & Pink (ružičasta), Purple Perspective (ljubičasta) i Turquoise Aesthetic (petrolej plava). Narandžasta, roze i plava su prilično jake boje, dok su žuta i ljubičasta nešto bleđe i manje pigmentisane. Turquoise Aesthetic je zapravo toliko pigmentisan da ga nikako ne treba nanositi na gole nokte i uvek se treba truditi da vam ne dospe na kožu jer će je u trenu ofarbati. Čak sam ga uspešno koristila za pečatiranje, kao pečatni lak. Lakovi nisu gusti kao Sheer Tints i zato se lepo mogu slagati jedan preko drugog bez dodavanje preterane debljine slojevima.

The five colours in this set are Primarily Yellow (yellow), Chromatic Orange (orange), Pen & Pink (pink), Purple Perspective (purple) and Turquoise Aesthetic (teal). range pink and teal are quite strong, while purple and yellow are somewhat paler and less pigmented. Turquoise Aesthetic is actually so pigmented that you should never paint it over bare nails and you should take care not to get it on your skin because it'll stain it instantly. I have even successfully used it for stamping, as a stamping polish. These polishes aren't as thick as Sheer Tints and they can be layered nicely over each other without adding too much thickness to layers.

Matching Manicures - Water Marble

Isprobala sam više načina da kombinujem ove lakove. Prvo sam ih testirala u mramoriranju u vodi i tu su se pokazali veoma dobro, samo ja nisam najbolji majstor za ovu tehniku. Boje se sasvim lepo razlivaju u vodi, što je najvažnije. Možda je bolje da u ovom slučaju za bazu ne koristite Silver Canvas već beli lak. Potom sam se bacila na napredno pečatiranje, ovog puta preko bele baze, gde mislim da su boje došle do izražaja više nego preko srebrnog. Nakon toga sam otkrila da Turquoise Aesthetic odlično može da posluži kao pečatni lak preko Silver Canvas. Za gradijent mi se nisu pokazali baš dobro, delom zbog toga što su prilično retki pa bi bilo potrebno mnogo slojeva, delom zato što kombinacije boja koje sam pokušala nisu bile baš najbolje. Ovde možete videti i kako Turquoise Aesthetic izgleda drugačije uz Pen & Pink i uz Primarily Yellow, tj. kako se uz ovih pet boja mogu dobiti i zelena i teget. Na kraju sam se odlučila za neuredan kvazi-dry-brush nail art, koristeći sve lakove iz seta, i za jednostavno slojevito tačkanje. Tačkice sam dodavala između slojeva laka i zato su neke svetlije, a neke tamnije. Pošto sam nanela ukupno četiri sloja laka (tri sloja tačkica), možete videti koliko su ove boje pigmentisane/prozirne. Ovi lakovi su takođe odlični za jelly sandwich i za generalno menjanje/davanje boje šljokicama.

I have tried several ways to combine these polishes. I first gave them a test in a water marble and they turned out quite well, I am just not the best person to dabble in this technique. Colours spread nicely in water, which is the most important. Perhaps it would have been better not to use Silver Canvas for this technique, but white polish. Afterwards I gave advanced stamping a go, this time over white, where I think the colours have really popped. Afterwards I discovered how well Turquoise Aesthetic stamps over Silver Canvas. They aren't that great for gradient, partly because of how sheer they are, but also because my colour combinations maybe aren't the best ones. You can also see how different Turquoise Aesthetic looks when combined with Pen & Pink and Primarily Yellow, i. e. how you can also get green and dark navy blue using these colours. And finally I did a messy quasi-dry-brush nail art using all the colours in this set, and a simple layered dotticure. I have added dots between layers of polish, which is why some of the dots look lighter and some darker. I have painted four coats of each colour with three layers of dots in between and you can see how sheer/pigmented these paints are. These polishes are also great for jelly sandwich and generally adding/changing colour of glitter.
