Konačno mi je stigla dugo očekivana porudžbina sa Lakodom sajta. U pretprodaji sam uzela svoje prve Colores de Carol lakove i naravno da sam odmah morala da probam neki od njih (i u najboljim danima je bila retkost da blogujem o laku onog dana kada sam ga namazala, ali ovo je jedan od tih izuzetaka). Već godinama sam u potrazi za dobrim jarkim narandžastim holo lakom. Kada sam videla slike The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight pomislila sam da je potraga gotova. Da li je zaista tako?

My long awaited preorder from Lakodom finally arrived this week. I have gotten my first Colores de Carol polishes and I had to try one of them ASAP (even in my best days I seldom blogged about a polish on the day I used it, but this is one of those exceptions). I have been looking for a good bright orange holo polish. When I saw Colores de Carol The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight in photos, I thought my search was over. But was it?

Jelly Sandwich

Jelly sendvič nije tehnika koja mi se preterano sviđa, pre svega zato što ne volim jelly lakove. Pre mesečak dana nam je upravo ovo bila tema za tematski petak te sam htela da vidim imam li nešto u kolekciji što bi poslužilo. Rezultat je... u redu. Sasvim u redu.

Jelly sandwich is not a technique I particularly like, mostly because I don't like jelly polishes. However, about a month ago this was a theme for our thematic mondays so I wanted to see whether I had something in my collection that could serve this purpose. The end result is... fine. It's just fine.

Essie Shine of Times

Sećam se da je, pre nego što sam ušla u lakoholičarske vode, Essence imao toper sa ljuspicama koji mi se izuzetno svideo, ali je bio TE i nedostupan u Srbiji. Posle nekog vremena su ga ubacili u standardnu postavku Special Effects topera pod imenom Night in Vegas, i znala sam da ga moram uzeti tada. Uzela sam i rezervnu bočicu, ali mi nije bilo dosta. Merkala sam Inglot 202 (uvek rasprodat) i Nfu.Oh i onda mi je uletelo da uzmem Essie Luxefects Shine of Times.

I remember how, before my polishaholic times, Essence had a flakie topper I liked, but it was TE and unavailable in Serbia. Some time after that, they rereleased it as part of Special Effects toppers line, and named it Night in Vegas, and I knew I had to have it. I got a spare bottle as well, but that was not enough. I was eying Inglot 202 (which was always sold out) and Nfu.Oh, and then I got an opportunity to get my hands on Essie Luxeffects Shine of Times.

Flormar Matte M11 Dark Purple

Davnijeh dana sam lakove sa kojima nisam znala šta da radim nudila za razmenu na Krpicama, a u zamenu sam uzimala lakove koje verovatno ne bih nikada sama kupila, čisto da ih isprobam. Tako sam došla do para Flormar Matte lakova. Pošto su mat i bez šimera, nisam ih nosila dok me jedna lakoholičarka nije podsetila da bih mogla da ubijem dve muve jednim udarcem - da isprobam lak koji još nisam nosila i toper koji nisam nosila.

A long time ago I used to swap polishes that I didn't know what to do with, and I would take polishes that I normally wouldn't buy on my own, just to give them a try. That is how I came to own two Flormar Matte polishes. Since they are just plain matte, I didn't wear them until a polishaholic reminded me that I could kill two birds with one stone - try an untried polish with a topper I haven't worn.

Nfu.Oh 60

Nfu.Oh je godinala imao u ponudi najrazličitije, a potpuno fantastične lakove sa ljuspicama, sve spakovano u prekrasne bočicama u obliku haljine sa korsetom. Nažalost, pre nekoliko godina su prestali da proizvode ove lakove, ali se pojedini još uvek mogu naći na Ebay ili Amazonu ili po drugim online prodavnicama. Ovo je poslednji koji sam uzela, a kao utehu što sam propustila da uzmem #51.

For years, Nfu.Oh had a wide range of fantastic polishes with flecks, all packaged in gorgeous corseted dress bottles. Sadly, several years ago they stopped making them, but you can still find some shades on Ebay, Amazon or some other online stores. This is the last one I got, and I bought it as a consolation after I had missed #51.

Dance Legend Mars

Kada je pre nekoliko godina Dance Legend napravio Chameleon kolekciju lakova, napravili su i tri laka proizvedena u malom broju, od kojih se jedan nije nikada ni našao u prodaji već se samo mogao dobiti kao poklon uz kupovinu u Rusiji. Ta tri laka su Mars, Phobos i Deimos, a Mars sam ludom srećom uspela da nabavim pada sam pre par godina naručila neke lakove sa Hypnotic Polish. Ovi su lakovi odavno rasprodati i ne mogu se više naći, sem kada povremeno osvanu na ebay-u.

When Dance Legend made a Chameleon collection several years ago, they also made three limited edition polishes, one of which was never even sold, but only given as a gift with purchase in Russia. Those three polishes are Mars, Phobos and Deimos, and I was fortunate enough to get Mars a couple of years ago when I placed an order with Hypnotic Polish. These polishes have long been sold out and can't be found any more, except when they show up on ebay.

Alessandro Go Magic Crystal Punk Green Underground

Magic City u svojoj ponudi Alessandro proizvoda ima i više setova lakova, često sa nekin posebnim efektom. Crystal Punk setovi se sastoje od crnog krem laka i topera sa ljuspicama u četiri boje, a ja imam Green Underground da vam pokažem. Lakovi su od po 5 ml. Moguće je da će se ovi setovi naći na Alessandro štandu na sajmu za vikend.

There are many Alessandro nail polish sets, most of them with some special effect. Crystal Punk sets consist of a black creme polish and a topper with flakes in four colours, and I have Green Underground to show you today. Polishes are in 5 ml bottles and can still be found on Ebay and similar websites.

Matching Manicures - Matte

Mat lakovi i manikiri su nešto što mnogo volim, a tako često smetnem s uma. Na svu sreću, tu je usklađeni manikir da me podseti da se nokti mogu matirati i da je ponekada veoma poželjno to učiniti.

Matte polishes and manis in general are something I like a lot, but so often forget. Fortunately, Matching Manicure is here to remind me that I can mattify my nalis and that sometimes it is preferable to do so.

Layla Ceramic Effect 53 Killing Red

Pre nekoliko godina sam bila u Milanu i tamo sam posetila Layla Land. Uzela sam nekoliko njihovih lakova i narednih par godina žalila što nisam uzela još jedan. Srećom, iskoristila sam drugaričino putovanje da ipak ispravim taj propust i sada vam konačno pokazujem Layla Ceramic Effect 53 Killing Red. Layla lakovi nažalost nisu dostupni kod nas, ali se mogu naručiti sa njihovog sajta, a ima ih i kod nekih online prodavaca. Ceramic Effect linija je spakovana u bočice od 10 ml, a lakovi koštaju oko 8 €. Ukoliko putujete u Milano, od srca preporučujem da posetite njihovu prodavnicu Layla Land, koja se nalazi veoma blizu ključnih znamenitosti, jer tamo imaju tester za svaki lak, a možete i na licu mesta da dobijete profesionalni manikir.

Several years ago I went to Milan, where I visited Layla Land. I got several of their polishes and lamented over not getting one more for the next two years. Fortunately, a friend was going there so I had taken that opportunity to get it and now I am finally showing you Layla Ceramic Effect 53 Killing Red. Layla polishes can be ordered from their website, but some e-tailers carry them too. Ceramic Effect line comes in 10 ml bottles, with price tag of around 8 €. I honestly recommend you to visit their store Layla Land in Milan if you happen to travel there. It is situated quite near the key monuments, they have testers for all polishes and you can get a professional manicure on the spot.

ILNP The Road To Awe

Poslednjom nabavkom indie i boutique lakova dominirali su ILNP lakovi, a po prvi put sam uzela i nekoliko Ultra Chrome ljuspastih lakova. The Road To Awe je jedan od njih. Pakovanje je od 12 ml i košta €12,3 i na Hypnotic Polish i na NailLand.

ILNP polishes dominated my last order of indie and boutique polishes, and for the first time I got several Ultra Chrome Flakies polishes. The Road To Awe is one of them. It comes in 12 ml bottle and retails for €12.3 both on Hypnotic Polish and NailLand.

Matching Manicures - V Manicure

Ovonedeljna tema je već bila na tapetu za usklađene manikire i plašim se da mi mi ovog puta nije mnogo uspešnija od prethodnog.

CND Vinylux Nordic Lights

Sigurno imate neke ljude koji vam prosto ulepšaju dan. I am sure you have some people that just make your days better. I have only a modest selection of indie polishes, partly because they are not as easily accessible, partly because of their price, partly because there are so many brands that it is difficult to make a choice. However, there is a brand that in my book set itself apart from others in terms of colour scheme and its packaging, which doesn't look like indie, but like high end packaging (in fact they aren't an indie brand any more, but a boutique brand). Essence Caught In The Middle

Posle dosta vremena se i kod nas pojavila Essence trend kolekcija koja mi je privukla pažnju. To je Good Girl Bad Girl kolekcija, trenutno u prodaji u DMu. Iako je sama kolekcija u Evropi bila aktuelna s jeseni 2014. godine, nama je stigla tek sada i drago mi je što su posle nekoliko njanjavih nezanimljivih kolekcija uvezli i nešto malo upadljivije. U kolekciji ima šest lakova i dva nadlaka. Svi su u pakovanju od 8 ml, a cena im je 289 dinara.

After quite a long time we've finally gotten an Essence trend edition that would catch my eye. It is Good Girl Bad Girl collection, which was on sale in rest of Europe in Autumn 2014, and now available in Serbia. It contains six polishes and two toppers in 8 ml bottles.

Matching Manicures - Crveno

Sa novom godinom krećemo u nove usklađeno manikirske poduhvate. Za početak inspiraciju tražimo u bojama, a prva na redu je moja omiljena boja za zimu. Većina mojih džempera je crvena, kao i kape, a crveni karmin i rumenilo češće nosim zimi nego leti. Samo još da nađem dobar crveni kaput.

With new year we embark on new matched manicures. For start we are looking for inspiration among colurs and the first one is my favourite colour for winter. Most of my sweaters are red as are my winter caps and I tend to wear red blusher and lipstick more often in winter than in summer. Now I only need to find a good red winter coat.

Među lakovima koje sam prošlog meseca uzela na jednoj blogorasprodaji našao se i jedan posebno zanimljiv lak. On je deo Mortal Kombat kolekcije, koju je Dance Legend lansirao krajem prošle godine. Tri laka koja čine ovu kolekciju inspirisana su likovima iz igre Mortal Kombat i termalni su. Dolaze u bočicama od 6,5 ml i na Hypnotic Polish se mogu kupiti za 8,7 €, a na Nail Land za 8,5 €.

Among polishes I got last month at a blog sale I managed to snag a particularly interesting polish. It is part of Mortal Kombat collection Dance Legend placed on the market at the end of last year. Three polishes that this collection consists of are inspired by characters from Mortal Kombat game and they are all thermal. They come in 6,5 ml bottles and they retail for 8,7 € at Hypnotic Polish and on Nail Land for 8,5 €.

Aura Twins 06

Pre par godina sam slučajno nabasala na veoma neobičan lak domaće proizvodnje. Aurin dvostrani lak koji je na jednoj strani imao nadlak sa ljuspicama nije mogao da mi promakne te sam ga ponela kući i odmah se bacila u potragu za informacijama o njemu. Nažalost, jedini podatak do kog sam uspela da dođem je da se ova kolekcija lakova u tom momentu nije proizvodila već više od pet godina. Kadašnja je kolekcija, koliko je lakova imala niti kojih su boja oni bili mi je i dalje nepoznanica, kao i zapremina bočica. Volela bih da se Aura potrudi i ponovo napravi neki toper poput ovog jer nam fale takvi proizvodi na tržištu.

A couple of years ago I stumbled upon an unusual nail polish by a local brand. Aura's double-sided nail polish that contained a flakies topper had caught my eye so I had brought it home and I immediately tried to find any information about it. Sadly, the only info I could get is that that collection had been discontinued for over five years at that point. When it was made, how many polishes it consisted of, what colours were they and how much product is there in bottles is still a mystery to me. I wish Aura would try and make a topper such as this one as we are in need for such product on Serbian market.

Electric Flakies

Kada sam predstavljala pločicu MoYou Nails 80 najviše pažnje je privukao mat manikir sa ljuspicama. Meni se sam taj manikir svideo toliko da nisam želela da ga skinem, što je i bio razlog da ga nadogradim francuskim pečatiranjem, a danas dobija i zaseban članak.

When I did the review of MoYou Nails 80 stamping plate, the mani that caught your eyes the most was the matte one with flakies. I loved that mani so much that I didn't want to take it off, which is why I stamped French tips over it, and now it gets a blogpost of its own.

Matching Manicures - lišće

Današni nedeljni zadatak radimo u uspomenu na sve lišće koje je opalo u borbi za smenu godišnjih doba. Jesenje vreme nam je osim ogolelog drveća donelo i sezonsku smenu boja. Sada je sve sivo. :P Da razbijem to sivilo koje me baca u depresiju, odlučila sam se za jesenji, ali veseo narandžasti manikir.

We're doing this week's theme in honour of all the leaves that have fallen in the battle of change of seasons. Besides bare trees, the autumn has brought with it the seasonal change of colours. Now everything is grey. :P To combat this bleakness that makes me depressed, I decided to do an autumnal, but cheery orange mani.
