Kako sakriti mehuriće u laku za nokte? Šljokicama, naravno. Essence Effect Nail Polish 22 I Love Magic je još jedan od mnogih lakova za koje nisam sigurna zašto sam ih kupila. Do tog momenta sam već ustanovila da nisam neki ljubitelj šljokica, a ni rasutog holo efekta. No kupila sam ga, namazala na štapić, ustanovila da je pregust za moj ukus i zaboravila na njega. Sada sam ga konačno namazala kako bih ga makar slikala i sakrila mehuriće na Noir Noir.

Pre nekoliko godina, kada je Dance Legend ponudio nadlak koji od bilo kog laka može napraviti holo lak, silno sam čeznula za njim. Potom kada sam napokon uspela da ga nabavim, nisam ga koristila. Donekle zato što sam u međuvremenu nabavila dovoljno holo lakova (da li to postoji?), donekle zato što sam bila malo razočarana efektom ovog nadlaka.

Several years ago, when Dance Legend made a top coat that would turn any nail polish into a holo, I wanted to have it really bad. Then, after I finally got my hands on one, I didn't use it. Sećam se da je, pre nego što sam ušla u lakoholičarske vode, Essence imao toper sa ljuspicama koji mi se izuzetno svideo, ali je bio TE i nedostupan u Srbiji. Posle nekog vremena su ga ubacili u standardnu postavku Special Effects topera pod imenom Night in Vegas, i znala sam da ga moram uzeti tada. Uzela sam i rezervnu bočicu, ali mi nije bilo dosta. Merkala sam Inglot 202 (uvek rasprodat) i Nfu.Oh i onda mi je uletelo da uzmem Essie Luxefects Shine of Times.

I remember how, before my polishaholic times, Essence had a flakie topper I liked, but it was TE and unavailable in Serbia. Some time after that, they rereleased it as part of Special Effects toppers line, and named it Night in Vegas, and I knew I had to have it. I got a spare bottle as well, but that was not enough. I was eying Inglot 202 (which was always sold out) and Nfu.Oh, and then I got an opportunity to get my hands on Essie Luxeffects Shine of Times.

Ne bih ja bila ja da ne unapredim krem lak. Uvek sam volela sedefaste i šljokičave lakove, a sa raširenom pojavom duohrom, multihrom, holo i ostalih finiša mislim da sam postala veoma razmažena i krem lakovi mi više nisu dovoljni sami po sebi. Zato ih koristim skoro isključivo kao osnovu za crtanje ili pečatiranje ili moram preko njih staviti neki toper. Pošto mi stoji stotinak neisprobanih lakova, uzela sam jedan od neisprobanih topera u mojoj omiljenoj kombinaciji boja da namažem preko Catrice koji sam namazala u petak.

I wouldn't be me if I hadn't upgraded a creme polish. I have always loved shimmery and glittery polishes, and with duochrome, multichrome, holo and other finishes being more accessible, I think I got very spoiled and creme polishes are no longer enough on their own. That is why I use them almost exclusively in nail art, stamping or as a base for a topper. And since I have about a hundred of untried polishes, I took one of the untried toppers in my favourite colour combo to use over the Catrice I applied on Friday.

Crystal Punk sets consist of a black creme polish and a topper with flakes in four colours, and I have Green Underground to show you today. This weeks matching manicures theme is a true seasonal theme. My first thoughts when I saw that we're doing winter wonderland were of a peaceful snowed in mountain scenery, but since that is beyond my abilities, I ended up with far more simple and delicate mani. I hope you'll like it.

Kao što sam u jednom od prethodnih članaka spomenula, potrudiću se da u istoj meri predstavljam aktuelne lakove i one koji nisu više dostupni ili koji mi dugo stoje neisprobani. Do sada je najstariji neisprobani lak u mojoj kolekciji bio Alessandro Heavy Metal Knockin On Heaven's Door. Samo su mi dve godine i koji mesec bile potrebne da prođem kroz sva četiri Alessandro Go Magic Heavy Metal laka. Neki od njih su i dalje dostupni kod uvoznika, ali nisam sigurna da li je i ova nijansa među njima.

As I have mentioned in one of previous articles, I shall try to show you current polishes and those that are no longer available / that have been untried for a long time in equal measure. Up until now, the polish that had been among my untrieds the longest is Alessandro Heavy Metal Knockin On Heaven's Door. Nažalost, jedini podatak do kog sam uspela da dođem je da se ova kolekcija lakova u tom momentu nije proizvodila već više od pet godina. Kadašnja je kolekcija, koliko je lakova imala niti kojih su boja oni bili mi je i dalje nepoznanica, kao i zapremina bočica. Volela bih da se Aura potrudi i ponovo napravi neki toper poput ovog jer nam fale takvi proizvodi na tržištu.

A couple of years ago I stumbled upon an unusual nail polish by a local brand. Aura's double-sided nail polish that contained a flakies topper had caught my eye so I had brought it home and I immediately tried to find any information about it. Sadly, the only info I could get is that that collection had been discontinued for over five years at that point. When it was made, how many polishes it consisted of, what colours were they and how much product is there in bottles is still a mystery to me. I wish Aura would try and make a topper such as this one as we are in need for such product on Serbian market.

Ghoulish Glow je lak sa posebnim efektom kakav sam dugo želela da imam, ali iz godine u godinu nam nije stizao. Mislila sam da će Essence Glow In The Night biti dobra zamena, ali prešla sam se. Prošle godine nas je Alexandar Cosmetics ipak obradovao ovim nadlakom u sklopu Apocalypse of Color kolekcije. Ghoulish Glow je deo svake China Glaze Halloween kolekcije, ima 14 ml i košta 498 dinara.

Ghoulish Glow is a special effect top coat that I have long wanted to have, but year after year it wouldn't arrive to Serbia. I was hoping that Essence Glow In The Night might be a decent substitute, but I was wrong. And finally we have gotten Ghoulish Glow last year when it came with the rest of Apocalypse of Color collection. It is part of every China Glaze Halloween collection, comes in 14 ml bottle and retails for the same price as regular China Glaze polishes.
