Da li vam se nekada desilo da ste kupile lak za nokte i onda čim ste ga uzele odustale od njega? Meni se to dešavalo prilično često u jeku mog lakoholizma, delom zato što sam lakove uzimala zato što su na popustu, delom zato što me je prošla želja za određenom bojom ili završnicom. Heroine Chic je takav lak, zato mi je bilo potrebno pet godina da ga namažem po prvi put. To je tačno bio period kada sam se hladila od lakova generalno, a posebno od krema i šimera i više se usredsredila na multihrome i holiće. Sada nemam predstavu zašto sam ga uopšte kupila. Verovatno reda radi, da ne bude da na sajmu nisam uzela ništa.

It used to happen to me a lot at the peak of my polishaholism, partly because I would buy polishes on sales, partly because I no longer cared for certain colours or finishes. Heroine Chic is one such polish, which is why it took me five years to wear it for the first time. I bought it right at the time when I was cooling down from polishes in general, and especially from creme and shimmer finishes and focused more towards multichromes and holos. Now I don't know why I even bought it in the first place. Probably just because, just so that I buy something at cosmetics expo.

Polish Molish The Show Must Go On

Wild Avocado mi je stajao čak 10 dana na noktima i bilo mi je žao da ga stignem, ali izrastak je bio takav da nisam imala izbora. Ovo sivilo je savršeno za fotografisanje multihromatskih lakova, tako da sam izvukla moj prvi i (za sada) jedini Polish Molish lak. Poručila sam ga sa Lakodoma. Trenutno ga nema na stanju, ali će ga sigurno biti kada budu oglasili narednu pretprodaju.

I had Wild Avocado on for 10 days and I was sorry to take it off, but the growth was such that I had no choice. And this grey weather is perfect for taking photos of duo and multichromatic polishes so I got my first and (so far) only Polish Molish nail polish. I ordered it from Lakodoma. They don't have it in stock right now, but I am sure they will get it when they announce the next preorder.

Golden Rose Holographic 07

Od svih holo lakova koje imam, najređe nosim srebrne/sive. Zašto sam onda uzela dva siva Golden Rose holo laka koji deluju kao djupovi za neke koje već imam u kolekciji? Zato što sam veverica, a ponekada i zmaj. Veverica kupuje da bi imala, ne nužno da bi koristila, a zmaja privlače svetlucave stvari. Dodajmo na to činjenicu da su GR lakovi veoma pristupačni i eto savršenog recepta za impulsivnu kupovinu. Na svu sreću (ili nesreću), nijedan od ova dva laka ne može više da se nađe, ali druge boje su još uvek dostupne.

Out of all holo polishes I have, I wear silver/grey ones the least. Why then did I buy two such Golden Rose polishes that look like dupes for some of the ones I alrady have in my collection? Acquisition disorder. I am a squirrel and sometimes a dragon. Squirrel buys things to own them, not necesarrily to use them, and dragon is drawn to shiny things. Add to that the fact that Golden Rose polishes are quite inexpensive and you have a perfect recipe for an impulsive purchase. Fortunately (or not), neither of the two polishes is available anymore, but in Serbia you can still find some of the other colours.

ILNP Eclipse (H)

Pošto sam bila toliko impresionirana crno-crvenim multihrom lakovima, odmah sam uzela dva takva ILNP laka - običan Eclipse i Eclipse (H). Ne mogu garantovati da neću uzeti još koji na ovaj fazon. ILNP shop dostavlja za Srbiju, ali poštarina je visoka (meni je za 4 laka ispala skoro $30). Za slučaj da vas zanima, paket sa 4 laka je mali i prošao je bez otvaranja i dodatnih troškova. Lakovi imaju 12 ml.

Since I was so impressed with black to red multichrome polishes, I had to get two such ILNP polishes - a regular Eclipse and Eclipse (H). I can't promise I won't get several more. I ordered from ILNP web shop. They do ship to Serbia, but shipping is rather high (it was almonst $30 for 4 polishes). Polishes come in 12 ml bottles.

It has been quite some time that I liked a polish enough that I had to buy it, and then to delight me even more in person. It is no news that I like ILNP polishes, but I had no opportunity to buy new ones because etailers I used to order from either no longer ship to Serbia or don't have the colours I wanted in stock. So I gave their offical web shop a go. They do ship to Serbia, but shipping is rather high (it was almonst $30 for 4 polishes). Despite that, It was worth it to me because I really wanted to get my hands on Eclipse. And Eclipse (H).

Essie Tribal Text-Styles

Verovatno ste primetile u proteklih godinu dana da je Essie ponuda u Srbiji sve siromašnija i da se nove kolekcije ne uvoze. Essie stalci po drogerijama stoje poluprazni, sa lakovima sumnjivog stanja koji izgledaju kao da im treba dobro brisanje prašine i spolja i iznutra. Tužan prizor. Svako zamiranje brenda kod nas me malo rastuži, mada za Essie mi nije preterano žao jer su im kolekcije vazda sigurne i dosadne - malo nude, malo roze, nešto crveno i jedna boja koja odskače od ostatka. Verujem da to može biti jedan razlog za smanjenj interesovanja kupaca za ove lakove. Drugi je sasvim sigurno cena. Puna cena je povremeno povećavana, ali lakovi su skoro stalno bili na sniženju, što je dobar pokazatelj stepena prodaje - jednostavno nisu išli po novoj punoj ceni.

Essie nail polish range available in Serbia has been diminishing consistently for a year or two now and we haven't been getting new collections. Essie stands are half-empty, with suspiciously-looking polishes that look like they need a good dusting both on the outside and on the inside. A sad sight indeed. Every time I see a brand fail in certain market I get a bit sad, although I am not too sad about Essie because I find their collections safe and boring - some nudes, some pinks, some reds and one colour that does not match the rest of them. I believe that to be one of the reasons buyers aren't as interested in these polishes. The other one is definitely price. When they first introduced drugstore range of Essie, they were about half the price they are now, but nowadays they are on sale quite often, showing that they weren't selling at full price.

U jesen 2014. godine Sephora je u sklopu Grey Obsession kolekcije ponudila i par prizmatičnih lakova - srebrni i tamno sivi, što su i najčešće verzije holosa koje ne-indie brendovi prave kada požele da se upuste u tu avanturu. Dovoljno dugo su mi stajali neisprobani (svetliji sam probala tek prošle godine), a kako sam još onomad odlučila da holose ne čuvam za posebne prilike već da ih nosim čim je vreme dovoljno lepo za slikanje i tamniji je konačno došao na red.

Sephora had placed on market Grey Obsessions collection and part of it was a couple of prismatic polishes - silver and dark grey, which are the most common choices for non-indie makers when they want to try to make holos. Now they've been sitting among untrieds for long enough, and since I have already decided not to wait for special occasions to wear holos, but wear them whenever there's good light to show them off, it is finally the darker one's turn.

U poslednjih nekoliko godina retko kupujem Flormar lakove. Ne zbog onog uvoznika već zbog nepostojanja uzbudljivih novih boja na našem tržištu. I pored toga sam proletos uzela dva, više zbog toga što su pametno postavljeni pored kase u DM-u i zato što su bili 99 dinara nego zato što mi je neki zaista trebao. Realno, da li mi ijedan lak više treba? Sve u svemu, računala sam da neću propasti za toliko i da mogu da isprobam još koji Flormar. Redovna cena u DMu im je oko 140 dinara, a bočice su od 11 ml.

I haven't been buying Flormar polishes much these last several years. Not because of that importer, but because there are no new and exciting colours on the market. Despite all that, I did get a couple this spring, more thanks to their smart position next to the POS in DM than because I needed them. To be honest, do I need any more polish? Anyhow, I knew that the world won't end because of it and that I could give Flormar a go again.

Born Pretty BPX-l012 Exoticism

Već neko vreme sam bila u potrazi za pločicom sa dobrim izborom slika plamena, a ova pločica mi je došla kao naručena. Ne samo što ima plamenove, nego ima i nekoliko feniksa, što znači da sam mogla da na bolji način uradim manikir inspirisan natprirodnim koji smo radili pre nekoliko meseci, a kojim nisam bila zadovoljna.

I've been looking for a stamping plate with good selection of flame images for some time now, and this plate was just what I had in mind. Not only does it have flames, but it also has some phoenix designs, which means that I could remake Inspired by Supernatural Matching Manicure we had done several months ago, that I was not pleased with.

I usually do four manis using one image for each when I do stamping plate reviews, but this time I used four designs for a single mani. I do hope you like the end result.

Essence I ♥ Trends The Metals Rebel at Heart

Sve ređe kupujem Essence lakove, a i kada ih uzmem obično ih koristim za nail art te im red za predstavljanje neretko dođe kada ih već nema u prodaji. Ovog puta nije tako. Otkad se letos/jesenas pojavio, ovaj I ♥ Trends lakić mi je privlačio pažnju. Napokon sam poklekla i uzela ga. Cena mu je 239 dinara i još uvek se može naći u Lilly i DM drogerijama.

I seldom by Essence polishes these days, and when I do, I use them for nail art so by the time they get their blogpost they are often sold out or discontinued. Not this time. I've been drawn to this I ♥ Trends polish since it had arrived in our stores this summer/autumn. I finally caved in and got it. It should still be available at drugstores that have even a single Essence counter.

Born Pretty BP 104 & Cotton Claw

Veoma me radije što Born Pretty Store prati trendove u pečatiranju i ne samo da konstantno nude nove pločice za pečatiranje, nego i prateću opremu. Na BPS i njihovim podagentskim sajtovima se nedavno pojavila i napravica koju sam dugo, dugo iščekivala - hvataljka za vatu, koja olakšava čišćenje pločica.

MoYou Nails 432

MoYou Nails s vremena na vreme organizuje takmičenje/izazov za blogere i ovog puta sam se i ja priključila i mogu reći da zaista jeste bio izazov. Dobila sam dve pločice po izboru MoYou Nails i trebalo je sa njima da napravim dovoljno reprezentativne manikire da mogu da ih podelim sa svetom. Jedna pločica mi je bila prilično neinspirativna, a ova sa motivima za francuski manikir mi se svidela, samo sam se plašila da neću moći ništa da izvedem zbog trenutne dužine noktiju. No snašla sam se i zapravo sam zadovoljna rezultatom, a nadam se da će se i vama svideti ovo što sam spremila.

From time to time, MoYou Nails holds a contest/challenge for bloggers and this time I took part in it and I can honestly say that it was challenging. I received two image plates chosen by MoYou Nails and was supposed to make manis that would look good enough to share. One stamping plate didn't really speak to me, but this one with French tips designs I liked, I was just worried that wouldn't be able to showcase it with my current nail length. However, I did manage to come up with something I like and I hope you'll like it as well.

Dior Vernis Gris Montaigne

Kroz moj blog ste mogli da primetite da nisam neki ljbitelj HE lakova. Meni odbojnost ne izaziva njihova previsoka cena sama po sebi, jer imam lakove koji koštaju skoro isto kao neki od njih. Stvar je u tome što sam iz tuđih iskustava zaključila da ta cena neretko nije u srazmeri sa kvalitetom, a firma mi ništa ne znači. Ponekada se ipak nađe neki poseban HE lak, a ako uspem da ga nađem polovnog po nižoj ceni, tu priliku neću propustiti. Dior Gris Montaigne je upravo takav lak.

So far, you could notice from my blog that I am not particularly fond of HE polishes. I am not on the fence because of their too high price, because I have some other polishes with quite close price tags. The thing is that I have learned from other people's experiences that that high price is usually not backed up by high quality, and I don't care about brand names. However, from time to time I'll find an interesting HE polish, and if I manage to find it second-hand at lower price, I won't miss that chance. Dior Gris Montaigne is one such polish.
