OPI Washington DC Mini Set

Aktuelna OPI kolekcija je Washington DC jesenja kolekcija napravljena u saradnji sa Kerry Washington. Kolekcija sadrži dvanaest standardnih lakova i tri limitirane boje. Iako finiši nisu baš za padanje u nesvest (skoro sve su kreme), izbor boja je zanimljiviji nego obično, što je lepo, a nekoliko boja je baš u mom fazonu, što je još bolje. Osim same kolekcije, u ponudi se nalazi i ovaj set od četiri mini laka. Cela kolekcija će moći da se uzme na sajmu, po sajamskoj ceni.

Current OPI collection is autumnal Washington DC collection, made in cooperation with Kerry Washington. It contains twelve regulat and three limited shades. Even though finishes are nothing to die for, choice of colour is more interesting than usual, which is nice, and several shades are right up my alley, which is even better. Along with regular polishes, they have made this set of four mini polishes.

L'Oreal Grenat Irreverent

Granat mi je jedan od omiljenih minerala, a razne nijanse granat-crvene rado nosim na noktima. Stoga je bilo prirodno da uzmem bordo L'Oreal nazvan upravo po granatu. L'Oreal Color Riche Le Vernis à l'Huile bočica veličinom i oblikom podseća na Essie bočicu, a i četkica je poput Essie - široka, pljosnata i zaobljena. Drška četkice je zanimljiva jer ima horizontalne useke koji sprečavaju curenje viška proizvoda. Ovi lakovi su obogaćeni i uljima ruže, lotosa, argana i semena kamelije, ali šta će ona u laku meni (još uvek) nije poznato. Pakovanje je od 13,5 ml. Cena u DM-u je 499 dinara, a u Liliju je još uvek na sniženju i može se kupiti za 373 dinara.

Garnet is one of my favourite minerals and I gladly wear shades of garnet-red on my nails. Therefore it was natural for me to buy a maroon L'Oreal polish named after garnet. Color Riche Le Vernis à l'Huile polishes come in bottles that resemble Essie bottles and have flat, wide, rounded brush, just like Essie. What is interesting is the stem of the brush - it has bevelled horizontal indentations that prevent excess polish from dripping. These polishes are enriched with rose, lotus flower, camelia seed and argan oils, but I (still) do not know what are they doing in polish.

Sećate li se vremena pre nego što je Essie stigao u naše drogerije? Salonske boje smo nabavljali u Nail Line-u iz Subotice, ali se ne sećam da li su oni uvozili sezonske kolekcije. Sve i da jesu, krajem 2012. godine je nastalo zatišje, nastupio je uvoznički interregnum te nam zimska kolekcija za 2012. nikada nije stigla, a tako ni lak Leading Lady. No naredne godine, kada se Essie već udobno smestio u Lilly drogerije, stiže nam Shearling Darling kolekcija, a u njoj Toggle To The Top - tamnija verzija Leading Lady. Davno sam ga nosila i bezuspešno fotografisala. Danas mu konačno dajem mesto na blogu.

There was a time before Essie came into Serbian drugstores. We could buy salon versions in Nail Line ina Subotica, but I can't remember if they imported seasonal collections or just core colours. Even if they did, by the end of 2012. there was a sort of importers interregnum for Essie and we never got Leading Lady and its eponymous star. However, the following year, when Essie was comfortably settled in Serbian drugstores they released Shearling Darling collection and in it the darker version of Leading Lady - Toggle To The Top. I have worn it long ago and fruitlessly tried to photograph it. Today I am finally giving it a blogpost it deserves.

OPI Pepe's Purple Passion

Pre nekog vremena me je uhvatila slabost prema ljuspicama i oduševila sam se kada sam videla da OPI ima lak sa ljuspicama koji nije toper već sam daje punu pokrivenost. Ovom laku me je privukla i aliteracija u imenu, a naravno da ni boja nije odmogla jer spada u meni veoma drag spektar granat-crvenih lakova. Nažalost ovaj lak se više ne može naći u ponudi, sem ako nije ostao neki komad za čuvene sajamske OPI korpice.

Some time ago I had a special weakness for flakies and I was delighted to learn that OPI has a polish with flakies that isn't a topper. I was also drawn to alliteration in its name and the fact that this polish belongs to the garnet-red spectrum didn't hurt. Sadly this polish has been discontinued and I don't think there is something similar to it on the market.

Verovatno se ne sećate hrpe lakova koju mi je prošle godine prosledila drugarica keramičarka. Rad sa glinom očigledno nije kompatibilan sa lakiranjem noktiju, ali odricanje od lakiranja vredi jer iz takvog kreativnog izraza proizilaze lepi i korisni predmeti koje možete videti i kupiti u Gallery 1250°. Većinu ovih lakova sam prosledila dalje, sebi sam ostavila četiri, a dva od njih vam predstavljam danas.

You probably don't remember the pile of nail polish a potter friend of mine had sent me. Working with clay is clearly not compatible with paining nails, but giving up nail polish is worth it when you see beautiful and useful fruits of such work and if you are in Belgrade you too can see and buy them at Gallery 1250°. I have passed most of her polishes on, but I have kept four for myself and today I am showing you two of them.

Flormar True Color 025

Ovo je još jedna žrtva mog lakoneizdrža od zimus. Pod veštačkim svetlom u radnji mi je delovao savršeno za mene (bez obzira na to što imam već gomilu sličnih lakova). Takođe su ulogu imali niska cena, činjenica da su mi True Color lakovi bili odlični i da se više ne proizvode. Možda se u nekoj zabačenoj parfimeriji može naći još koji lak iz ove kolekcije.

This is another victim of my last winter's polish buying binge. It looked just my colour under shops artificial light (never mind the fact that I already own many similar polishes). Low price, the fact that other polishes from True Color line I own were great and that this line has been discontinued all had their part in my decision to buy this one.

Golden Rose Color Expert 32

Pre nekoliko meseci Golden Rose je odlučio da izbaci novu liniju lakova, a uvoznik se smilovao i tu kolekciju uvezao, što se nisu udostojili da učine sa daleko zanimljivom Galaxy linijom. Nije mi jasno zašto Golden Rose svako malo izbacuje novu liniju lakova, često istih boja i kvaliteta kao neke prethodne, umesto samo da doda nove boje postojećim linijama. Color Expert linija meni deluje samo kao prepakovano izdanje Rich Color lakova. Zapremina im je skoro ista (RC 10,5 ml, CE 10,2 ml), četkica im je ista i kvalitet formule je neujednačen među bojama. Osnovna kolekcija, koja je inicijalno brojala 60 boja, već ima dopunu od devet novih boja. Lakovi iz ove linije se prodaju po ceni od 99 do 120 dinara.

Several months ago Golden Rose decided to place another line of polishes on the market. Now, I don't get why Golden Rose feels compelled to develop new lines of polishes so often, especially if they contain the same shades as some of the existing lines and are of equal quality, instead of just adding new shades to the existing lines. To me Color Expert line of polishes looks like repackaged Rich Color line. You get about the same amount of product (10.5 ml of Rich Color to 10.2 ml of Color Expert), they have the same brush and inconsistent formula across the range of colours. The basic range, which had 60 shades at first, already has an addition of nine new colours. These polishes retail for about 1 €.

Matching Manicures - životinjska šara

Konačno su sve kockice došle na svoje mesto i posle dosta vremena učestvujem ponovo u usklađenom manikiru. Tema koja je odabrana za ovu nedelju je životinjska šara. Želela sam da uradim reptilski print u čast filma Hobbit. Osnovna boja mi je OPI Warm & Fozzie, a pečatirala sam Metropolisom. Tabla koju sam koristila je PMAG-1D. Sve sam zamatirala Miss Sporty Check Matte nadlakom.

Finally all pieces of the puzzle came into place and I can take part in Matching Manicures again, after quite a long time. The theme that was picked for this week is animal print. I wanted to do reptilian print in honour of The Hobbit film. The base colour I chose is OPI Warm & Fozzie, and I used Aura Metropolis to stamp over it. The image plate I used was PMAG-1D. I have mattified everything with Miss Sporty Check Matte top coat.

Miss Sporty Clubbing Colours 348 sam kupila na nekom sniženju u Mauricijusu i drago mi je što je bilo tako jer mi se lak na noktima uopšte ne dopada. Sastav Miss Sporty lakova se nigde ne može naći, kao ni veza između naziva koji stoje na zvaničnom sajtu i brojeva na bočicama. U bočicama je 7 ml laka, a četkica je široka i zaobljena. U DM i Lilly drogerijama koštaju oko 150 dinara, u Mauricius parfimerijama manje. Trenutno su na sniženju u DMu i koštaju 125 dinara.

I bought Miss Sporty Clubbing Colours 348 on a sale and I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it because I don't like it on my nails. Ingredients of Miss Sporty polishes are nowhere to be found, as well as connection between the names on official website and numbers on bottles. Bottles hold 7 ml of product. The brush is wide and rounded.

OPI Royal Rajah Ruby

OPI Royal Rajah Ruby (NL I52) morala sam da uzmem čim sam probala Sanguine. Ovo je bila ljubav na prvo mazanje, jer me preko slika sa interneta nije privukao i verovatno ga nikada ne bih uzela da nisam dobila i isprobala Sanguine. Royal Rajah Ruby je deo kolekcije inspirisane Indijom iz 2008. godine i do nedavno je bio deo stalne kolekcije. Više nije u stalnoj ponudi i vredi ga ujuriti pre nego što postane nemoguće nabaviti ga. Kod nas se još može naći po apotekama. Ja sam svoj naručila iz subotičkog Nail Line-a i veoma sam zadovoljna njihovom uslugom. Na sajtu ne možete videti koje sve boje imaju u ponudi, ali se možete raspitati preko e-maila ili telefona da li imaju boju koja vas zanima.

I had to get OPI Royal Rajah Ruby (NL I52)as soon as I tried Sanguine. It was love at first application, I didn't get to like it from pics on the internet and I probably wouldn't have taken it if I hadn't got and tried Sanguine. Royal Rajah Ruby is part of spring 2008. India collection and until recently it was one of core polishes. It isn't part of it any more and you should try and get it before it becomes impossible to find.

OPI Sanguine

Na poklon sam dobila tri OPI Go Goth bebe, a Sanguine me je od njih najviše privukao. Sanguine je, kako sam videla na internetu, tematski preimenovan Royal Rajah Ruby. Pošto se ovaj lak ne može više nebaviti, a OPI mini lakovi imaju samo 3,5 ml, iskoristila sam što su mi nokti sada kratki da ga isprobam.

I got a gift of three OPI Go Goth minis, and I was most attracted to Sanguine. I learned on the internet that it is Royal Rajah Ruby renamed. Since this polish is no longer available, and OPI minis are just 3.5 ml, I took the opportunity of currently having short nails to try it.

Golden Rose With Protein 285

Golden Rose With Protein 285 mi već godinama stoji polupotrošen. Dugo ga nisam mazala sem na rozetne i za poređenja. Poslednji put je to bilo kada sam isprobavala Classics Charming 30. Mada su ova dva po boji skoro sasvim jednaka, razlikuju se po kvalitetu - Classics sam morala da mažem u tri sloja, a Golden Rose daje punu pokrivenost već iz jednog.

I've been keeping a half-spent bottle of Golden Rose With Protein 285 for years. It's been a long time since I last used it except on swatch sticks and for comparisons. Last time it was when I tried Classics Charming 30. Although these two are almost identical in colour they differ greatly in quality of formula. While I had to apply three coats of Classics, I achieved full coverage with one coat of Golden Rose.

Ovo je poslednji Classics lak koji imam. Sasvim je moguće da će tako ostati jer nisam oduševljena izborom boja. Po kvalitetu su jednaki Golden Rose With Protein lakovima (isti je proizvođač), Golden Rose ima veći izbor boja i zapreminu (Golden Rose 12 ml, Classics Charming 7,5 ml).

This is the last Classics polish I have. It is possible that it'll stay that way because I'm not thrilled with the range of colours. The quality is the same as Golden Rose With Protein polishes (the manufacturer is the same), Golden Rose has a much broader range of colours and comes in larger packaging (Golden Rose 12 ml, Classics Charming 7,5 ml).

Rimmel Lycra Pro 393 Desire

Ime ovog laka savršeno opisuje moje osećanje prema njemu od prvog momenta kada sam ga ugledala, što je bilo pre više od deset godina. Sećam se da sam ga nosila na doček Nove 2001. godine. Linija lakova kojoj je tada pripadao zvala se Lycra Wear i četkice su bile sasvim obične. U Lycra Pro liniji četkica je široka, pljosnata i zaobljenog vrha i ovo mi je bio prvi susret sa takvom četkicom. Desire se više ne proizvodi, a do ovog sam došla zahvaljujući velikodušnosti ljubazne forumašice i blogerke Ivane, koja mi ga je poslala kada je videla koliko čeznem za njim.

The name of this polish perfectly depicts my feeling for it from the moment I first saw it, which was over ten years ago. I remember I wore it for the New Year's eve in 2000. The line of polishes it was from was called Lycra Wear at that time, and the brush was an ordinary brush. In Lycra Pro line the brush is very wide, flat and with a rounded tip and this was my first experience with such brush. Desire is discontinued and I got this one thanks to the generous fellow blogger and Ana member, Ivana, who sent me hers after she'd seen how much I yearned for it.

Ingrid je najpurpurniji od ova 4, tekstura mu je satenasta. Black Cherries je veoma tamna purpurna sa sitnim svetlijim šimerom. Desire je suviše braon u poređenju sa prethodna dva. S-he deluje ubledelo, ni ljubičasto, ni bordo.

Ingrid is the most blue of the four. Black Cherries is very dark with tiny lighter shimmer. Desire is the most red of the four and looks almost brown compared to the first two. S-he looks too pale, neither purple, nor burgundy.

Flormar Supershine Miracle Colors U34

Posle dobrih iskustava sa U12 i U33 lakovima, odlučila sam da na preporuku članice sa Ane uzmem Flormar Supershine Miracle Colors U34. Opisala mi ga je kao crn sa crvenim šljokicama što je meni već dovoljan razlog da poželim da uzmem bilo koji lak, a posebno kada se radi o Flormar laku jer sam se u njihov kvalitet više puta uverila. Flormar Supershine Miracle Colors lakovi u parfimeriji Cristabell koštaju 170 dinara, a pakovanje je od 10 ml.

After good experiences with U12 andU33 polishes, I decided to take advice from Ana.rs forum and get U34 as well. It was described to me as black with red glitter which to me is good enough to go buy any polish, and especially Flormar, whose quality has been verified over and over again.

Aura Nail Beauty 802 Metropolis

Aura ima više linija lakova za nokte i ranije sam imala dobra iskustva sa njima. Nail Beauty lakovi su mi omiljeni od njih. Ne sadrže toluen, formalin i kamfor. Pakovanje je četvrtasto i pogodno za slaganje u kutiju. Bočica ima 10.5 ml i košta oko 280 dinara. Ima ih u svim Lilly drogerijama.

Aura is a Serbian drugstore brand that has several nail polish collections. Nail Beauty line is my favourite one. They are 3-free and don't contain toluene, formaldehyde and camphor. The rectangular bottles make them easy to stack in box. The bottle contains 10.5 ml of product.
