Jelly Sandwich

Jelly sendvič nije tehnika koja mi se preterano sviđa, pre svega zato što ne volim jelly lakove. Pre mesečak dana nam je upravo ovo bila tema za tematski petak te sam htela da vidim imam li nešto u kolekciji što bi poslužilo. Rezultat je... u redu. Sasvim u redu.

Jelly sandwich is not a technique I particularly like, mostly because I don't like jelly polishes. However, about a month ago this was a theme for our thematic mondays so I wanted to see whether I had something in my collection that could serve this purpose. The end result is... fine. It's just fine.

Jedini jelly lak koji imam je Zoya Frida. Umesto šljokica sam odabrala ljuspice, u ovom slučaju ILNP The Road To Awe. Iskreno, nisam sasvim zadovoljna kako je sve ispalo, mada nisam ni razočarana. Sviđa mi se kombinacija boja, ali nešto ne štima. Rekla bih da nedostaje malo dubine, ali imam sedam slojeva na noktima (bazu, tri sloja Zoya Frida, dva sloja ILNP The Road To Awe između njih i nadlak) tako da ne bih mogla da istrpim još po jedan sloj laka i topera. Kako se vama čini ovaj manikir? Koliko slojeva laka biste vi bile spremne da upotrebite da biste prešle sa "u redu je" na "super je"?

It turned out that the only jelly polish I have is Zoya Frida. I opted for flakies instead of glitter, in this case ILNP The Road to Awe. To be honest, I am not thrilled with how it turned out, although I am not too disappointed. I like the colour combo, but something just doesn't look right. I think I am missing some depth, but I already have seven layers on my nails (a base, three coats of Zoya Frida, two coats of ILNP The Road to Awe sandwiched between them and top coat), so I wouldn't be able to stand another layer of polish and topper each. What do you think about this mani? How many layers of polish would you be prepared to use to get from "it's okay" to "it's great"?
